I love it!
Boy, do I feel great tonight! The soreness isn't as extreme anymore and I pushed through another great workout with the trainer. He pushes me to my breaking point! It's awesome and I wish I could afford to keep him, but I am looking forward to continuing on with the routine I learned and kick some rear end! WOOT!

Man, am I hurting!
Well, it's Thursday. When I last updated I told you that I was working with a personal trainer. The second day of soreness is always the worst! Yesterday I woke up in some major pain. But I got through the day and I even got through another 30 min with the trainer last night. Tomorrow is going to be the worst of it, I can tell already. Luckily tomorrow is the last of my sessions and I can spend the weekend in bed LOL
Starting weight this AM was 174.8. That's up .3 since Tuesday but I'm not worried. I'm pretty sure it's going to catch up soon so I can go down a couple more before next week.

Wow, it's February already!
I am horrible at this blogging thing, LOL
So I have been quiet for a couple of weeks now. On January 30th I moved into my own place again after spending almost a whole year in my Mom's basement after my separation. I am so super excited to have my own place again. Because of that I stopped blogging but didn't stop working on my weight. I did not go to the gym as often as I should, there are just not enough hours in the day! But, I am in my new house, 90% un-packed, and back in the grove of things! No more excuses, well legitimate ones at least, haha.
So this AM's starting weight was 174.5 That's actually 1.5 pounds down from Friday. This week I paid a personal trainer at my gym for 3 half hour sessions, in which he will create a day 1, day 2, and day 3 workout routine that i can continue after he is done with me. It was all I could afford, but I tell you I wish I could afford to have him with me 3 times a week every week. He kicked my butt, but I feel great!! I am sure tomorrow will be a different story when the soreness really kicks in and I am being pushed to my limit again by the trainer.
Total weight loss from December 3rd is, 16.5 pounds. Yay!

9 Days
Wow, it's been 9 days since I have posted here....ooops! Guess that's a good indication that I haven't been doing so well. LOL
I've had some good days and some bad days....but I am still losing, so that's good. I am down to 175.5 as of this morning. Total loss of 15.5 pounds.
Last week I went to the gym only once. This week only once so far but I plan to go again tonight. I am moving into my new home one week from today, so I would like to say that is my excuse for not going, but it's more likely pure lazyness. I have done a ton of packing but am pretty well packed up now minus the day to day throw in a box on moving day stuff. So no more excuses. :)
This AM I had my usual breakfast (naked juice) and will have some soup for lunch. The weekend is coming up and the weekends are when I don't do so well. So my goal for this weekend is to crack down and be good. I'll update again on Monday and let you know how well that worked.

Bad Night
I didn't weigh this morning, which is probably a good thing because I was HORRIBLE last night. Just didn't stop eating all night. :( I had two pieces of pizza and two handfuls of chocolate chips. doh!
Hopefully tonight will be better. I am currently sucking down the green tea and water. I had a green machine naked juice for breakfast as usual....and will have a soup for lunch. I'm fighting the urge to not go to the gym after work, but there is an awesome class I want to take so hopefully I will win the fight. :)
I will update tomorrow!

Getting There
Weigh in this morning was 179.9
I'm so glad I didn't mess up my hard work too much. Yesterday I had a naked juice for breakfast, a snack size 2% cottage cheese for mid morning snack. A bowl of soup for lunch, and about 4oz of left over steak from the soup diet around 3pm. I went to the gym and did cardio for 45 min, then I had another bowl of soup for dinner. Man, I love that soup. My stash at home is all gone now, and I have one bowl left at work. So today I will eat it for lunch again....not sure what I will do about dinner tonight.

Back to the grind.....
So here we are, Monday morning. And boy am I glad it's Monday!
I am so horrible on the weekends. They are definitely my down fall. And since I did 7 days of strict soup eating.....I wanted to give myslef a treat this weekend. Which ended up being a "treat" times 3 :shifty:
My weekend consisted of 2 different trips to Wendy's where I ordered a small frosty and a small fry (gotta love fries in frosty's) Not as bad as getting a whole 1,300 calorie meal....but I sure could have done better. I also rented some movies and munched on some skittles. BAD BAD BAD
My weight this AM was 181.1 but I am sure that will quickly fall. I also did horrible at drinking my green tea, so some of that could be water weight.
Today has been much better....except that I forgot my big glass today....so I haven't had much green tea (or water) because the only cups we have here are 5 oz and I am way too lazy to keep filling it up. I had a "green machine" naked juice this AM for breakfast. A snack size 2% cottage cheese for mid morning snack. A bowl of my left over soup for lunch. And I just had a 4oz steak (left over from soup diet) for mid-afternoon snack since I will be working out after work I didn't want my tummy to be growling. Once I get home from the gym, I will have another bowl of soup. I have probably 2 days worth left.
I hope tomorrow's weigh in will be better and not show my horrible weekend so much.

Day 7 - The soup Diet
Good Morning!
Starting Weight was 179.1
Today's weight is 179.8
Not really sure why I gained but weighing everyday I have learned not to get too upset about a slight gain like that. Could be anything I suppose.
Im still happy with the 3.5 Pounds lost total during this soup diet.
Today is day 7, but I was not prepared for this day so I will have to stray a little bit.
Day seven:
Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables. Stuff yourself. By the end of the seventh day, if you have not cheated on the above diet, you will find you have lost 10 - 17 pounds.
I do not have brown rice, and I am at work so not sure how I could accomplish that. I will though continue to eat what soup I have left today and tomorrow. Right now I am drinking a Green Machine Naked Juice, which is my usual breakfast routine. Not on the soup diet but like I said I will be straying today.
On a side note.....I started working hard at my weight loss journey on December 3rd, 2008. I didn't start this blog at that time, but that is when I started going to the gym almost everyday as well as portion control, ect. I just wanted to say that since Dec 3rd I am down 11.2 pounds. I am very satisfied with my progress and hope the next 30 days brings the same.

Day 6 - Soup Diet
Whooo Hooo! I am very excited today....I went to look at some apartments to rent yesterday and sent my application in as well. I am so close to moving out of my Mom's basement that I almost can't stand the wait. If all goes according to plan, I will be moving out in 22 days. :)
Ok, starting weight yesterday was 180.7
Today's weigh in......179.1
That's a loss of 1.6 for day 5 and a total loss of 4.2 for the 5 completed days of the diet.
I couldn't be more satisfied. I am glad I didn't let the slow start get me down.
Today is day 6, and a very yummy day!
Day six:
Beef and vegetables. Eat to your heart's content all of the beef and vegetables on this day, you can even have 2 - 3 steaks if you like, with green leafy vegetables.
Yay, lots of Beef and lots of vegetables!!!! I have two cooked and cubed steaks in the fridge here at work, ready to go. As well as lots of soup and some brocoli to go with my steak. Mmmm, I love beef.

Day 5 - Soup Diet
Good Morning.....I hope your having better weather than we are! I am very excited today for a few reasons.
Starting weight from yesterday was 182.0
Today's weight 180.7
Total loss in 4 days.....2.6 pounds
Yay!! I feel rejuvenated now that the number is going down again.
Yesterday was my banana and skim milk day, which was tough.....but I did it and it paid off! The tally for yesterday was 3 Bananas, 1/2 gallon of Skim Milk, and 2 bowls of soup. Not bad! Oh, and since I cooked my steak for today, last night. I did have 3 bites as I was cutting it up. lol
Day Five:
Beef and tomatoes. You may have 10-12 oz of beef and a can of tomatoes or as many as 6 fresh tomatoes on this day to wash out all of the uric acid in your body. Eat your soup at least once on this day.
Yay, it's Beef day!!! Mmmm, I really hope my steak taste's as good today, re-heated, as it did last night out of the frying pan. (fryed with salt, pepper, and olive oil only) I'm not much of a tomato person. I used to never eat them at all, but have learned to like them in the past year. Though I haven't gotten to the point of plopping a cherry tomato into my mouth and eating it. I need them diced up usually. So instead of munching on tomatoes today I put extra tomatoes into my new batch of soup. I hope to get enough of them that way. I have a busy day of running around so I hope to get two bowls of soup and my beef eaten before I get home.

Day 4 - Soup Diet
Well I'm a bit discouraged today......
Starting Weight from yesterday was 182.6
Today's weight......182.0
Yesterday's tally was 3 bowls of soup, 1 grapefruit, 1 green pepper, and 1 avocado.
So I lost that .6 that I had gained from day 2, but didn't go any further than that. My total weight loss during the program is still 1.3 pounds, so that's a lot less than I was hoping. I have worked hard at this for 3 days now. I am going to stick with it even though I would rather head out to our local lunch restaurant today and get a nice hot meal instead.
Day Four:
Bananas and skim milk. Eat as many as 8 bananas and drink as many glasses of milk as you can on this day, along with your soup. Bananas and milk are high in calories and carbohydrates, but on this particular day, your body will need to potassium, the carbohydrates, the proteins and the calcium to lessen your cravings for sweets.
This will hands down be the toughest day on this diet. I can eat bananas but don't care much for them. One a day is hard enough, but up to 8? That's going to be pretty tough. I have had one so far.
Skim milk.....I guess it could be worse, but once again I don't care much for any milk, but skim milk is like drinking watered down milk.....ewwwww. I'll manage though and update tomorrow as to how many bananas I was able to get down.

Day 3 - Soup Diet
Good Morning!
Starting weight yesterday was 182.0
Woke up this AM at 182.6 Argggg!
But on Sat and Sun both I was up really late and slept in really late....so this AM I weighed a LOT earlier than the last two days. I am hoping that is why the change, and that tomorrow AM will be back down.
Yesterday I had 3 big bowls of soup (I am going to have to make another batch before the 7 days are up) and some cucumbers and carrots. Didn't really get many veggies in on the side because I was busy all day and just not really hungry. But I sure enjoyed my baked potato, yummy.
Today is day 3.
Mix day one and two. Eat all the soup, fruit, and vegetables that you want. You can not have a baked potato on this day.
If you have followed the diet, without cheating, you should have lost 6-7 pounds.
Once I get tomorrow's weight in we will see if the first three days gets me a 6-7 pound weight loss. Im thinking not even close though.
I did do my 45 minute workout again yesterday and will do the same again today.
Until Tomorrow!

Day Two - Soup Diet
Good Morning!!!!
Yesterday my starting weight was 183.3
I ate 3 big bowls of soup, 1 whole cantaloupe, 1 whole grapefruit, and 1 whole Kiwi. Around 10:30pm or so I was hungry again but I just couldn't bring myself to eat anything as eating that late is just against what feels right.
Drum roll please...........My weight this AM is 182.0 yipeeeeee So day one brought me a total loss of 1.3 pounds. I cannot wait to wake up tomorrow and weigh!
Okay, so today is day two.....this is what I will be eating today.
Day Two:
Soup and vegetables. Eat all the fresh raw or cooked vegetables you want, until you are stuffed. Try to eat leafy vegetables, stay away from dry beans, peas, and corn. Have a baked potato and butter. Eat all the soup you want, but no fruit.
Whoo Hooo, I get a baked potato today! I am actually really excited about today's menu, because I love the soup, I love vegetables much more than fruit, and I love baked potatoes!
I was able to hit the gym yesterday but on;y did 45 minutes of cardio instead of my usual hour. I burned 500 caleries. I wonder if I even ate 500 caleries yesterday, lol
This morning I woke up with a really stiff neck. Both sides are so very sore I can barely move side to side. Still trying to figure out if I am going to the gym today....although I most likely will as I am so super excited about seeing my weight go down! I should be in the 170's by Tuesday :)

Day One - Soup Diet
It sure seems like I spent a FORTUNE last night on all the ingredients to make this soup. I doubled it as well though, just in case my Mom or sister decided to join me. But still, fresh veggies can get expensive! So I stood in the kitchen last night forever cutting up fresh veggies...and making this soup. By midnight the whole house smelled so delicious! While putting the gallons of soup away I decided since it was after midnight and officially the first day of the die, I might as well have some soup. LOL
It was DELICIOUS! Just as it smelled. Mmmmm I could get used to this.
Ok, so here the instructions for today.
Day One: Starting Weight - 183.3
Soup and fruits. All the fruits you want except for bananas. Cantaloupe and watermelon are lower in calories than most fruit. Eat only your soup and fruits the first day. Drink unsweetened tea, cranberry juice, or water. Try to drink 8 - 9 oz glasses of water per day.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, so the water I will have no problem with since I will be sucking down many quarts of Green Tea as usual. And the soup is definitely no problem. But the fruit might be interesting. My fear with this diet is that I won't be able to eat enough of what I am supposed to in order for it to work the best it can. I could go all day on jst a couple cups of soup. But I must get my fruit in today. Last night I bought Kiwi, Cantelope, and Grapefruit.
Since I was up until almost 2am last night.....I didn't go to spin this morning. And, I slept until 12:00 Noon. I don't get a lot of chances to sleep in so I totally took advantage of it. But that's ok, because the day is not a bust just yet. I got up, grabbed myself a bowl of soup, and in about an hour or so I will be heading out to the gym to get my hour in.

The Soup Diet
So today is day one of a 7 day diet I am starting. It's called The Soup Diet. Well, it's actually called something else but I forget. The Heart Diet? I will post it here, and update how it's going throughout the week.
Here is the recipe.
http://www.idiet4u.com/diets/sacredheart.html
SOUP:
1 or 2 cans of stewed tomatoes
3 plus large green onions
1 large can of beef broth (no fat)
1 pkg. Lipton Soup mix (chicken noodle)
1 bunch of celery
2 cans green beans
2 lbs. Carrots
2 Green Peppers
Season with salt, pepper curry, parsley, if desired, or bouillon, hot or Worcestershire sauce. Cut veggies in small to medium pieces. Cover with water. Boil fast for 10 minutes. Reduce to simmer and continue to cook until veggies are tender.
This soup can be eaten anytime you are hungry during the week. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want. This soup will not add calories. The more you eat, the more you will lose. You may want to fill a thermos in the morning if you will be away during the day.
Here are the directions for the 7 days.
Day One:
Soup and fruits. All the fruits you want except for bananas. Cantaloupe and watermelon are lower in calories than most fruit. Eat only your soup and fruits the first day. Drink unsweetened tea, cranberry juice, or water. Try to drink 8 - 9 oz glasses of water per day.
Day Two:
Soup and vegetables. Eat all the fresh raw or cooked vegetables you want, until you are stuffed. Try to eat leafy vegetables, stay away from dry beans, peas, and corn. Have a baked potato and butter. Eat all the soup you want, but no fruit.
Day Three:
Mix day one and two. Eat all the soup, fruit, and vegetables that you want. You can not have a baked potato on this day.
If you have followed the diet, without cheating, you should have lost 6-7 pounds.
Day Five:
Beef and tomatoes. You may have 10-12 oz of beef and a can of tomatoes or as many as 6 fresh tomatoes on this day to wash out all of the uric acid in your body. Eat your soup at least once on this day.
Day six:
Beef and vegetables. Eat to your heart's content all of the beef and vegetables on this day, you can even have 2 - 3 steaks if you like, with green leafy vegetables.
No Baked Potato ...
Day seven:
Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables. Stuff yourself. By the end of the seventh day, if you have not cheated on the above diet, you will find you have lost 10 - 17 pounds.
Definite No No's
No bread, alcohol, carbonated beverages, not even diet drinks. Stick with water, unsweetened fruit juices, cranberry juice, (and skim milk on the allowed).
After being on this diet for a period of seven days, enough fat will be out of your system that one beer or drink can make you intoxicated.
Any prescription medicine will not hurt you on this diet. Continue this as long as you wish and feel the difference in both mental and physical disposition. If you prefer you can substitute broiled fish for the beef on only one of the beef days. You need the high protein in the beef on the other day.
Good Luck !

Here is the recipe.

Here we go!
It's the start of a new year and I have found myself to be right back where I started after the FIRST time I lost 55 pounds. As you can see from my ticker that's about how much I have to lose yet AGAIN. But enough whining....and I'm not going to try and justify the reasons for me being back to square one. It's time to do it once again, and the best thing about it is.....I know it can be done. So I am in a much better place to start off this go around. Hopefully this time I will be able to keep it off longer.
Yesterday was not a good start to the new year. I didn't go over board like I have before....but I was nursing a hangover as well as sitting at home because I had the day off. I always do so much better on workdays. So anyway, today has gone alright, except I of course let myself get talked into going out for lunch.....it's kind of a weird day at work today. Not many people are working and the ones that are were looking for a reason to help the day go by that much faster. I didn't have as much control as I could have. Ordered the fries to replace the chips normally given out with the lunch special. But, I didn't empty my plate so that's a plus.
As soon as my Boss let's me go I am off to the gym to do an hour on the eliptical machine.
Here's to a good weekend of lots of green tea drinking and NO overeating. :D
